Leo Diensthuber is the founder/composer of internationally-renowned Progressive Rock/Metal group Divine Realm and a professional guitar/drum teacher for over 18 years.
Currently he is endorsed by Ernie Ball Music Man, Horizon Devices, Ernie Ball, Rocktron Technology for Guitarists and Happy Cable Company.
Divine Realm has been featured by Guitar World Magazine, news/media giants such as Metal-Injection and has a guitar transcription book available Sheet Happens Publishing.
From its humble beginnings as a one-man band of multi-instrumentalist Leo Diensthuber in 2010, Ontario based instrumental progressive metal act Divine Realm have come a long way in just a few years. The project really kicked into high gear upon fleshing out into a full band line-up with the release of 2014's well-received Abyssal Light EP which was followed by an even stronger effort on the group's 2016 debut full-length, Tectum Argenti.
During this time, Divine Realm has been featured by Guitar World Magazine, countless news/blog entities such as Metal-Injection, and released a guitar transcription book with Tim and Luke of Protest the Hero's own Sheet Happens Publishing.
March 2018, Divine Realm released their anticipated follow up EP, "Nordicity" which has been hailed by many critics as a contender for year end top 10 album lists. Divine Realm has never been content to define themselves as adherents solely to one sound, and as a result, Nordicity draws influence and comparison to prog luminaries such as Pomegranate Tiger, Between The Buried And Me, The Human Abstract, and Animals As Leaders throughout each of its five multi-faceted songs.
In August 2020, Divine Realm released the single "Kaleidoscope Mind", with Diensthuber taking on all composing, performing and producing duties.
Following up with another surprise Christmas single, Divine Realm then offered in mid December 2020, an adaptation of the Christmas classic "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy".
On October 18th 2022 soon after announcing signing with Ernie Ball strings, a 5 song EP titled "Emergence" was released which features Leo's most ambitious composing, performing and production yet.
